Delete Your Account

How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your StageBook account directly from the app:
- Open StageBook on your device
- Navigate to Settings (tap the gear icon)
- Scroll down to the Account section
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
The deletion process begins immediately upon confirmation and cannot be undone.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your profile — display name, email, profile photo, and authentication credentials
- Bands you own — if you are the owner of a band, the entire band workspace is deleted, including all songs, setlists, arrangements, and invitation codes
- Your songs — all songs you created, including lyrics, chords, arrangements, and revision history
- Your setlists — all setlists and setlist configurations
- Imported files — all images, PDFs, and text files you uploaded for AI processing
- Preferences — all personal song preferences and app settings
What Happens to Shared Bands
- Bands you own: The band and all its content (songs, setlists, member associations) are permanently deleted. All members lose access immediately. There is no transfer of ownership. If you want to preserve the band, transfer ownership to another member before deleting your account.
- Bands where you are a member: Your membership is removed, but the band, its songs, and setlists remain intact for other members. Any content you contributed to the shared workspace remains accessible to the band.
Data Retention After Deletion
- Your personal data and content are removed from our active database within 30 days of account deletion.
- Automated database backups that may contain your data are purged within 90 days.
- Anonymized, aggregated analytics data (e.g., total user counts, feature usage statistics) may be retained indefinitely but cannot be linked back to your identity.
- We may retain certain data longer if required by law or to resolve disputes.
Important: Cancel Your Subscription First
If you have an active Pro subscription, deleting your StageBook account does not automatically cancel your subscription with Apple or Google. You must cancel your subscription separately through your device's app store settings to avoid being charged after account deletion.
- iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > StageBook > Cancel
- Android: Google Play Store > Payments & Subscriptions > Subscriptions > StageBook > Cancel
